About the Tour
Mathura is the birthplace of Lord Krishna — one of the most revered cities in Hinduism, located on the banks of the Yamuna River. The Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple marks the exact spot where Lord Krishna was born in a prison cell around 5,000 years ago. The city's 25 ghats, ancient temples and the evening aarti on the Yamuna create an atmosphere of pure devotion.
Just 11 km away, Vrindavan is where Krishna spent his childhood — playing in the forests, dancing with the Gopis, and performing His divine leelas. The town is home to over 5,000 temples, including the iconic ISKCON Temple, Prem Mandir (a marble masterpiece illuminated at night), Banke Bihari Temple and Radha Raman Temple.
Barsana, 42 km from Mathura, is the birthplace of Radha Rani — Krishna's divine beloved. The hilltop Radha Rani Temple (Laadle Lal Ji) offers panoramic views and a unique spiritual energy. Barsana is also world-famous for its Lathmar Holi — where women playfully beat men with sticks, celebrating the divine love of Radha and Krishna.
Key Highlights
Every lane in Mathura–Vrindavan breathes Krishna — these are the highlights that no visitor should miss.
The most sacred site in Mathura — marking the exact prison cell where Lord Krishna was born. The complex includes the Keshav Dev Temple and the adjacent Shahi Eidgah Mosque, side by side in a symbol of India's composite history.
ISKCON Vrindavan is a magnificent modern temple complex dedicated to Krishna and Balarama. Nearby, Prem Mandir — built entirely of Italian white marble — is illuminated with coloured lights after sunset, creating a divine spectacle.
Barsana's hilltop Radha Rani Temple (Laadle Lal Ji) is one of the most spiritually charged sites in Braj. The town is world-famous for Lathmar Holi — celebrated a week before national Holi — where women of Barsana playfully beat men from Nandgaon.
Banke Bihari Temple — one of Vrindavan's oldest and most beloved shrines — houses a captivating idol of Krishna in the tribhanga pose. Radha Raman Temple, built in 1542, is famous for its self-manifested deity that is never moved from Vrindavan.
