About the Pilgrimage
Varanasi (Kashi) is among the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth, with a history stretching back over 3,000 years. Sitting on the western bank of the holy Ganga, it is the city of Lord Shiva and one of the most significant pilgrimage destinations in all of Hinduism. To die in Kashi is believed to grant moksha (liberation) — and millions of pilgrims journey here seeking exactly that divine blessing.
The Kashi Vishwanath Temple — recently renovated under the grand Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project — houses one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple's gold-plated spires gleam beside the Ganga, forming one of the most iconic spiritual sights in India. Beyond the temple, Varanasi's 85+ ghats, the dramatic evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, and the early-morning boat ride watching the rising sun over the Ganga form experiences that touch the deepest corners of the soul.
Our Kashi Vishwanath Darshan tour covers the temple, key ghats, Dashashwamedh Aarti, and a Sarnath excursion — all with a comfortable AC vehicle and expert local driver.
Key Highlights
From the ancient Jyotirlinga to the flames of Manikarnika — every sight in Kashi carries eternity within it.
One of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple is the spiritual heartbeat of Varanasi. The recently built Kashi Vishwanath Corridor provides seamless, grand access to the temple.
The iconic evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat is a spectacular ceremony of fire, sound and devotion. Priests perform a synchronised ritual with large brass lamps — an experience that transcends religion.
Just 10 km from Varanasi, Sarnath is where the Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. The Dhamek Stupa, Ashoka Pillar and Sarnath Museum are must-visits for spiritual seekers of every faith.

Traveller Guidance
October to March is ideal — cool weather for ghat walks and temple visits. Dev Deepawali in November (Kartik Purnima) is the most spectacular time when 84 ghats are lit with lakhs of lamps.
The Dashashwamedh Ghat Aarti draws thousands. Arrive 45 minutes before sunset to secure a good standing spot. Alternatively, book a boat for an elevated view from the Ganga itself.
The ghats involve walking on uneven stone steps. Wear flat, comfortable footwear. You will need to remove shoes at temple entrances — carry a bag to hold them.
Sunrise boat rides on the Ganga are enormously popular. Book your boat the evening before through your driver or hotel. The 45-minute ride at dawn is one of the most memorable experiences in India.
Pilgrim Stories
The Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat was beyond words. Hire Himachal Cab arranged the entire Varanasi trip — our driver knew every ghat and temple lane. The sunrise boat ride was the single most spiritual experience of my life. Har Har Mahadev!
We visited with our elderly parents — the driver was incredibly patient and helpful, guiding them through the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. The new corridor is magnificent. Sarnath the next morning was a beautiful contrast. Beautifully arranged tour!
Varanasi is unlike any city on Earth. Our guide from Hire Himachal showed us the hidden lanes, the real Kashi. Manikarnika Ghat at midnight, Ganga Aarti at dusk, temple darshan at dawn — three days felt like three lifetimes. Deeply grateful.
