About the Pilgrimage
Chardham Yatra Package By Cab is a sacred pilgrimage for Hindus that includes four different temples β Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath β which are located in the Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand. The tradition of undertaking the Chardham Yatra as one continuous circuit has been followed for generations; the journey provides both spiritual fulfillment and high-altitude mountain travel. Pilgrims typically begin their journeys from either Haridwar or Rishikesh and then complete the entire route via automobile/bus/taxi over a period of approximately 10 to 14 days, depending upon how fast they choose to travel, what type of weather conditions exist along the way, and what mode of transportation they use.
Chardham Yatra Package is a pilgrimage Yatra in India. It consists of four sacred places that are located in the Himalayas. These four places are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The pilgrimage can be completed by taking a train or bus from Delhi to Haridwar and then on foot or by horse/mule to the first place (Yamunotri), followed by the other three places. The distance covered during the whole journey is around 500 km. It takes about 10-12 days to complete the entire yatra. The yatra is considered very auspicious for Hindus and is believed to wash away all sins.
Chardham Yatra is a pilgrimage to the four sacred sites in Uttarakhand, including Yamunotri (where the Yamuna River begins), Gangotri (where the Ganga River begins), Kedarnath (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva), and Badrinath (where Lord Vishnu is worshipped). All four of these temples can be found in the Garhwal region at higher elevations, which means that most travelers will only have access to them from late spring until early fall, due to the closure of many roads in the area during the winter.
The pilgrimage to the sacred sites has deep roots in Hinduism and may be made to obtain a blessing, fulfill an obligation (vow), or commemorate significant life events. Since the holy places are located in various areas of the state, it will be necessary to plan the itinerary, transportation, and scheduling in order to have an enjoyable trip.
Yamunotri is dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna. It is situated in the Uttarkashi district at an altitude of approximately 3,293 meters (10,804 feet). You can reach the temple by walking 6 kilometers from Janki Chatti.
Gangotri β A temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga, located in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand at approximately 3,100 meters above sea level (10,200 feet). This location can be accessed entirely via road and represents the beginning of the Ganges River.
Kedarnath is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva; it can be found in the Rudraprayag district of India, which has an elevation of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet). There are two ways to get there: either by foot for 16 kilometers from Gaurikund, or by using helicopters that operate out of Sonprayag/Phata/Sersi.
Badrinath - Lies on the banks of Alakananda River; situated in Chamoli District at an elevation of approximately 3,133 meters (10,279 feet) above sea level; dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple is accessible by road from Joshimath and is the most accessible temple of the four main pilgrimage sites.
The typical driving route will follow an organized geographic pattern to avoid having to retrace your steps.
Haridwar/Rishikesh β Barkot β Yamunotri β Uttarkashi β Gangotri β Guptkashi/Sonprayag β Kedarnath β Joshimath β Badrinath β Rishikesh/Haridwar
A typical Chardham Yatra by road will usually take about 10-14 days to complete if you start your trip from Haridwar or Rishikesh. This time frame depends upon:
The families of senior citizens often allow extra time to adapt to a new environment, as well as to accommodate the slower pace of travel.
Char Dham Yatra package is a seasonal pilgrimage because the Himalayan Cold weather and access conditions can change significantly during the year. Before planning your travelling, check the latest temple information opening dates, registration requirements, weather and route conditions. For the 2026 pilgrimage season, Uttarakhand Tourism provides the official Char Dham registration facility, while the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee people also directs pilgrims to complete yatra registration before travelling. May and June are popular months for the pilgrimage, while September and October can also be suitable depending on weather and route conditions. During the monsoon period, pilgrims should allow extra flexibility because mountain roads can be affected by heavy rainfall and landslides. Always verify the latest official travel and registration information before departure.
The Chardham Yatra may be traveled via car or taxi which will provide a great deal of freedom in terms of making stops, taking breaks and photographing; however, the act of driving on the mountains requires a high level of caution.
Roadway: Variables may include width, curve/bend, road work, and/or surface condition.
Hire drivers that have experience driving on the roads of the Himalayas, and do not drive at night. [Vehicle selection: Choose vehicles that are either SUVs or sturdy hatchbacks that are built to handle the rough terrain with high ground clearance.]
Flexibility in traveling: Build in "buffer days" to account for the possibility of delayed travel due to bad weather, as well as the chance that you may experience extreme fatigue.
Family/Group Considerations: When planning a road trip, you may want to plan on driving less per day, taking more frequent breaks from driving, and staying hydrated.
A majority of pilgrims who visit Kedarnath use both roads and helicopters as part of their journey in order to make the trek shorter.
Acclimate to the elevation in small increments: You should spend an evening at a lower altitude than what you plan to climb. Keep updated on current weather and road conditions: Mountainous environments have the potential for rapid change, therefore keep track of any local warnings.
Start your drive early each day; preferably at or before sunrise so you will be able to avoid both the clouds that form as the day progresses and the congestion that occurs as more people take to the roads.
Drink fluids and eat simply; you can prevent tiredness and high altitude problems through consistent drinking, as well as by eating simple foods.
: Bring Money: ATM's can be hard to find when you're traveling through rural areas, so bring enough currency with you.
respect locals: dress moderately, adhere to times of viewing temples.
: It is recommended that you make reservations well in advance for your stay during the peak travel months (May-June) when there will be a large number of people traveling to Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, and Joshimath.
Travel Insurance: Ensure that you are covered for high altitude travel and emergency medical situations.

Pilgrim Stories
Real experiences from real devotees who completed the Char Dham Yatra with Hire Himachal Cab.
Our family of 6 completed the Char Dham Yatra in 12 days with Hire Himachal Cab. The driver knew every mountain road, the vehicle was spotlessly clean, and the team helped us with biometric registration and temple queues. A truly divine experience β we couldn't have done it without them!
I'm 68 years old and was worried about the Kedarnath trek. The team arranged a helicopter for me and pony for my wife. The driver was patient, the car was AC and the schedule was perfectly planned with rest days. Maa Ganga's blessings were truly felt at every step of this yatra.
Organised the Char Dham Yatra for our pilgrimage group of 11 using the 12-seater Tempo Traveller. The vehicle was superb for mountain roads, luggage space was excellent, and our driver Rajan bhai was like a family member by the time we reached Badrinath. Highly recommend!
